The 2023 RAV4 XSE Hybrid features black mixed SofTex and fabric seats and blue accents throughout.

DIGITAL DISPLAY REARVIEW MIRROR

In addition to a standard backup camera, Limited models and XSE Hybrid, feature a Digital Display Rearview Mirror with Homelink that shows you what's behind you, even if your line-of-sight is blocked - and a Bird's Eye View Monitor, that gives you a full 360-degree view of your surroundings.

 
 
POWER BACK DOOR
Enjoy easy access to RAV4's large cargo area with an available power back door. On Trail and XLE models, the back door is opened and closed with the push of the button on the key fob. On Limited models and with the XSE Technology package, the kick-sensor power back door is operated with a wave of your foot under the rear bumper.

ELECTRONIC ON-DEMAND ALL WHEEL DRIVE (AWD)
 

It's all-wheel drive like you've never experienced before. With a dedicated electric motor at each wheel, Hybrid models channel torque where you need it most based on driving conditions -- from 100 percent to the front wheels, to an even 50:50 split between front and rear. The result is superior traction when the going gets tough, and exceptional handling and stability when accelerating and cornering.

5 Hybrid Models Available


Answer the call of the wild. Multi-Terrain Select takes RAV4's highly evolved four-wheel drive performance to a new level. The system allows you to select from four modes then regulates wheel spin accordingly to give you maximum traction on the most challenging terrain -- including mud, sand, rocks, and dirt. Standard on all AWD gas models.
RAV4 AWD LE and AWD XLE feature an active torque all-wheel drive system that shifts from front wheel drive to all-wheel drive as soon as the system senses wheel slippage. You save on fuel when the going is good, and get enhanced traction the moment you need it. Seamlessly and automatically.
Powered by a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine, RAV4 gas models put more power at your disposal, while getting more out of every litre. Paired to a direct shift 8-speed automatic transmission, RAV4 delivers sportier acceleration, better fuel economy, and a smoother, more responsive ride.

 
 

Dynamic Torque Vectoring All Wheel Drive

RAV4 Trail and Limited (gas only) feature Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect. A Toyota first, the system can send up to 50% of engine torque to the rear wheels, plus distribute it to the left or right rear wheel for exceptional control. When it isn't needed, the system ingeniously transmits all driving force to the front wheels -- reducing energy loss, improving fuel efficiency, and smoothing out the ride.

 

 
 

Stop & Start Engine System

RAV4 LE AWD, and XLE AWD feature a Stop & Start engine system that helps to improve fuel economy, especially in city driving with its many stops and starts. The system automatically stops the engine while the vehicle is stopped temporarily such as at traffic signals. The engine automatically restarts when you release the brake pedal. There's no extra steps that you have to take, just fewer stops for fuel along the way.

Should the unexpected or unavoidable occur, RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid help cushion the blow with a network of eight strategically placed airbags, including: dual stage airbags for driver and passenger, driver's knee, passenger seat cushion and front and rear side curtain airbags.
Back up, back in, and back out with confidence. Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) scans for stationary objects that might be in your way, then warns you with audible and visual alerts, and even applies the brakes if needed.
For added safety and peace of mind, all 2023 models feature Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). BSM alerts you to the presence of vehicles in adjacent lanes that may have escaped visibility in your side-view mirrors. While RCTA warns you about hazards you can't see while backing up.
