Dear Toyota Customer,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. This is to inform
you that your vehicle may contain a defect that could affect the safety of a person. Toyota has determined that
a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists on certain 2022-2023 model year Tundra and Tundra Hybrid
vehicles.
Our records indicate that you currently own an affected vehicle.
The interim remedy is now available. Please make an appointment with your Toyota Dealer to have this
remedy implemented as soon as possible.
What is the condition?
The subject vehicles are equipped with a plastic fuel tube which could move and rub against a brake line and develop a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could increase the risk of fire.
What will Toyota do?
Currently, an interim remedy is available at any authorized Toyota dealer, FREE
OF CHARGE. For your safety, please bring your vehicle to any Toyota dealer
for the Interim Remedy.
At this time, Toyota estimates that the final remedy can be available in summer of
2024. Once the interim remedy has been completed, the vehicle must be brought
back for final remedy at a later date.
Please be advised that only the cost to perform the servicing or repairs related to
this campaign will be covered by Toyota.
What should I do?
This is an important Safety Recall.
Please contact your Toyota dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment
to have the campaign remedy performed. You will be notified again when the final
remedy is available.
